Flourish in your career

Welcome.

I’m Christina, and I created Women-Space, a career coaching and leadership company, to help the many wonderful women in higher education to progress and flourish in their professional lives and careers.

As an executive career coach, I work to challenge the kind of thinking that holds you back, finding positive solutions that support your values and engage your passions, so you can bring what really matters to you into your working life.

The thing that nobody has is you.
Your mind.
Your experience.
Your life.

Women-Space provides you with career support, career advice, leadership and career workshops, executive coaching, retreats, and resources that are unique to you and your needs as a professional woman working in higher education.

As a university professor with a wealth of experience in executive leadership, I have a real insight into the career challenges that many women experience when working in higher education, especially gender inequality. I created Women-Space to dismantle these barriers to career progression and provide you with the tools to help you realise your true potential.

If you’d like a no-obligation chat about how I could help you, I’d love to hear from you.
Or if you’d just like to hear more, sign up for my news and updates.

Does this sound like you?

Life can be wonderful when everything is going well in your personal and professional life. You have energy, purpose, and community. You feel valued and supported. You know what you are doing and where you are going…

Then you hit a glitch, a difficult patch, a turning point, or you simply feel lost.

These moments come to all of us at some point in our lives. They can range from something someone said that niggles away at you, to a potential career move that arrives unexpectedly and leaves you unsure how to respond, to more extreme setbacks like not getting an expected promotion or indeed losing your job. Women-Space is here to help you deal with these life and career situations, and come out stronger and better equipped to move forward.

There’s a lot of advice out there to help you advance your career, but sometimes all of that guidance and wise words from colleagues or friends doesn’t quite do the trick. You can be told, or you tell yourself, that you are overthinking; you are too sensitive; you are misreading the signs; or, you really aren’t good enough.

But is this really the case?

Women-Space helps you to tackle this kind of thinking with supportive and authentic career coaching.

Sometimes it takes someone else (who understands where you are coming from) to remind you that it’s not you that’s lacking, and to help you look at whatever it might be that is holding you back and limiting your possibilities to thrive.

To quote the phenomenal spoken-word poet Vanessa Kisuule, “You are not merely a footnote to equality, or a tick in the diversity box.” You are you, in all your wonderful humanness, and you can take up those spaces in whatever way you choose.

As a career coach for women working in universities, I created Women-Space to be your trusted resource and support during times of change and transition in your working life.

I also work with you to help you counter or overcome experiences of structural gender inequality in the workplace that unfortunately remain very prevalent for women today.

My approach is for us to work together collaboratively, to find solutions that are in line with your values, enabling you to reignite your passion and energy for what you do, and get you to where you want to be – in life and in your career!

And most importantly to recognise your brilliance and make sure it’s manifested in all that you do.
